In Normandy, the water, the light, the colours, the gentle landscape and the rich diversity all lend to the gardener's art.
Included in the tour is a visit to the outstanding gardens of Vasterival, the creation of the late Princess Sturdza. The gardens are being passionately maintained.
Stunning, more recently developed gardens include Jardin Agapanthe and Jardin Plume. One of the most popular gardens on an earlier tour to Normandy was Clos du Coudray and a visit to the Loire would not be right without a visit to the gardens at Chateau Villandry, with its new Sun Garden.
French plantspeople have played an important part in the development of gardens and plants, therefore a great diversity of plants can be seen as well as the unique design features.
